Domain.com Registrar Overview

I had one really bad experience with them, they billed us for domain renewal, failed to renew domain, and our domain was down for more than week because of their error. Worst of all, they support was almost completely unresponsive .

Bought eight domain names with these people and cannot use any of them. I used three different hosting companies to point the domains at. None of them worked. Cant pay another fee to transfer cause of the 60 day lock that doesnt update when removed. Support was completely worthless, basically said, you dont know what your doing, but if you pay us to host with us then your domains will work. To try and make my point, I set up two domains one from Domain.com and one from Godaddy to the same host, with the same nameservers. Godaddy worked, domain.com did not. Did the same experiment using CNAME with two different domains and a different host, same result. Unless I paid them more money, support said to take the issue up with my hosts. When I finally got fed up and asked them directly if my domain names will work being hosted externally, the answer I received was, "Yes they will work if you host with us."

Avoid these people.

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. They are gone case now.

I tried to transfer 2 of my domains to them before knowing about them (my bad). And I suffered a lot. After the "60 Days" time period is gone, I am going to immediately transfer back to my current resistrar.
