GoDaddy Registrar Overview

These guys where good before... But the moment the company was sold, it went downhill... I spent so much with them, more then 50k in domain registration over the years, but after being bought by a third party they became very greedy and started charging a lot more with their convoluted pricing schemes. A real mafia! Now I am so happy to have ditched them in favour of that is much more transparent and a lot cheaper.

I've been with Godaddy for about 10 years.

What happened to the good deals on domain renewals that Godaddy used to give loyal members? This year you've stopped -- now they're at the top of their game, they're getting even more greedy - why????

I used to be very appreciative, as a non-profit operator, of the low renewal costs, which is why I've stuck with Godaddy all this time, but am now seriously considering switching my registrar to a company that still offers the best low rates for renewals.

What about a special rate for nonprofit groups that work voluntarily to improve our communities? We're not in this to make money, but to further the cause of social and environmental justice - have a heart Godaddy and give us a break!!!!!

I'm switching if something doesn't change soon!

Used to have all my domains with godaddy, but to my eyes they got greedy a year or two ago, prices for registrations & renewals went up 30+ percent. They used to have a mess of coupons out there, they have stopped that and their prices are now not very competitive.

Their UI is ok, proprietry and in places rather confusing still, but not the worst.

Registration is very annoying with the heavy upselling at every stage.

Support is ok, but it is impossible to contact them via e-mail or ticket, another change. I don't live in the states so I don't want to talk to someone on the phone, and I don't have time. Give me tickets any day please!
