They locked my domain without sending me an email about that. When asked about this - they said that they have a right not to inform. Not recommend.

One of the most underestimated domain registrars. Yes, they do have lacks, but non of them are critical.

What a joke of a company! I tried them based on some special I saw them offering. figured I'd try it out with a domain I wouldn't mind losing due to the comments on this site and around the web, and, sure enough, my account and domain were taken away with no notice from Alpnames! When I contacted their "support", I got a reply 3 days later that they would look into it and get back to me. It has now been 9 days, and no response. Alpnames has so many problems they can't even get domain registration right, and that is their business!!

Absolutely awful registrar in every way. They take domains from your account randomly, they have several issues with payment processing and their support is not only slow, but confrontational and unable to help. I'd give less than 1 star if I could. Try to save a buck somewhere other than Alpnames.

I cannot understand why anyone would rate these guys at anything less than 5 stars - their pricing is superb, the customer service is so much better than I have ever experienced with the likes of GoDaddy and/or 1&1 (they actually try to help you, rather than up-sell additional products!) and they are constantly looking for ways to improve their service offering. I particularly like that they have launched their own secondary market product, which is completely commission free while still in development and looks like it could grow to become a serious contender to take on the usual suspects in the secondary market space.
Yes, they may be a fairly "new" and, therefore, comparatively small registrar and, no doubt, they have likely experienced teething difficulties along the way...but it is easy to see why they are quickly growing a very loyal customer base, myself and several of my domaining friends included. Thumbs up from me.

Total spam operation. They offer no customer support and their system completely lost 2 of my domains. Just read other reviews online of this shady operation. AVOID ALPNAMES!!!!

Tried to sell me privacy protection even though I did not request it. Web site for managing domains is terrible, almost unusable.
